Ethics and professional conduct
Status: Draft for review — not yet effective.
Professional expectations
Proposed engagements should require integrity, impartiality, respectful conduct, accurate records and disclosure of conflicts of interest. Credentials and authority must be represented truthfully. Bribery, fabricated evidence and misuse of client property have no place in professional consulting work.
Authority and escalation
Professionals must work within their competence and assigned authority, follow agreed escalation arrangements and raise unresolved safety concerns with the responsible client personnel. Confidential information must be handled only through approved channels. A concern should not be suppressed to improve a performance measure or the appearance of a report.
Reporting arrangements
Confidential ethics and whistleblowing arrangements, restricted review access and protections against retaliation must be approved before that channel launches. The current public contact form is not an anonymous or confidential whistleblowing system. Request a suitable reporting route before sharing sensitive details.
Before launch, identify the legal entity, contact channel, jurisdictional basis, effective date, retention schedule and approved processor list; then obtain legal review.
